If you buy or ship a Brother Disk Drive, put a floppy in it when it goes out. Or ask the person sending it to you to do this. The floppy disk drive is very old technology; I think they came from Texas Instrument back in the old days. Brother bought them all. The drive head is subject to actually coming loose if it's shipped without the floppy in it.
